Aged in American oak barriques, in the company of selected yeasts, it impresses pleasantly from the first experiences, thanks to its aromas of ripe fruits, black cherries, and also light notes of spices. Taste-wise, it evokes the fresh character of wild fruits, accompanied by clean tannins, but also warm wood impressions, which create a prolonged and fruity aftertaste. Good to be consumed at temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius in the company of cheeses or traditional Romanian recipes. Dupa selectarea strugurilor, acestia sunt maturati direct cu pielita la o temperatura controlata in cuve din otel inoxidabil Horizon si lemn timp de 12 zile, iar apoi vinul este maturat timp de 2 ani in butoaie de lemn frantuzesc si slavon, iar ultimul proces este rafinarea si depozitarea in sticle timp de inca 8 luni pana la 1 an. Se deschide in jurul unei culori rosu-rubiniu aprinse, cu un varf granat foarte bine sedimentat. Prezinta o aroma placuta, dominante fiind indiciile de prune, cirese coapte si fructe rosii mici, amestecate pe fundal cu notele de lemn dulce si tutun. Palatul este plin, inconjurat de tanini moi si armoniosi pentru un finish placut si proaspat. A se consuma in compania preparatelor de carne rosie si branzeturi. Prezinta o culoare rosu-rubiniu puternica, iar intensitatea parfumului remarca la nivel olfactiv aromele fructelor proaspete. Pe palat structura sa armonioasa, prospetimea si persistenta sa buna, il transforma intr-o varianta tentanta pentru consum mai ales in compania preparatelor culinare alese din bucataria internationala. Vinul este supus imbtranirii prelungite inainte de a fi servit, atat in butoaie cat si in sticle, aflate in pivnitele subterane. Prezinta un buchet interesant la nivel olfactiv, amintind de aromele cireselor alcoolizate, lichior si usoare note de piele sau lemn. Atacul este vioi, structura robusta, taninii catifelati, ducand la un finish placut cu aspect fructat. Se serveste la o temperatura de 18-20 grade celsius in compania fripturilor de vanat, a branzeturilor mature si usor picante sau fripturi la cuptor cu diferite garnituri alese.

Descoperirea acestora a avut loc in urma cu doua decenii de catre cei 4 asociati si vinificatorul colaborator la care au apelat acestia pentru a aduce un plus de valoare podgoriei argentiene si pentru a dobori tendintele actuale bazate pe tehnologizare. Imbatranirea vinului a avut loc in butoaie de stejar francez, iar producatorii precizeaza ca poate fi consumat pe loc, dar poate fi depozitat si la pivnita pentru colectii alese, fara sa-si piarda consistenta si calitatea. Nasul este intampinat de aromele fructelor rosii, note de piper negru si indicii de portocale. Echilibrul sau fantastic, taninii catifelati si structura sa crocanta pe palat evolueaza armonios pentru un finisaj de exceptie. A se consuma alaturi de branzeturi aromate, diferite mezeluri, preparate din carne rosie sau mancaruri specifice bucatariei occidentale.

Renato Ratti began his career in the wine industry in Sao Paolo in Brazil where he emigrated after completing his enology degree in Alba. After making sparkling wines and vermouths for several years for Cinzano, he decided it was time to return home and purchased his first vineyard just below the Abbey of L’Annunziata in La Morra. He quickly became a trailblazer and advocate for the Barolo region, creating the first detailed map of Barolo’s historical crus in the 1970s and producing one of the first single vineyard Barolos in the 1960s. In 1988 Renato’s son, Pietro, took over the reins and has continued to modernise and innovative, adding a new gravity flow cellar in 2005 and expanding and restoring the family’s vineyards. The Ratti family’s Marcenasco Barolo is named after the sub-zone where the fruit is sourced which has been planted with Nebbiolo since at least the 12th century. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness in October and the young wine is aged in large oak casks for two years. This attentive vinification and extended maturation produces a refined Barolo which is richly-flavoured and full bodied yet balanced by a streak of bright freshness and enchanting smoky tobacco, licorice, and sweet spice notes.

Astfel s-a obtinut o rapitura de arome unice (coacze negre, prune, note de lemn dulce, imbinate cu arome calde de fructe rosii). Corpul sau taninic si aromele caracteristice, conduc la obtinerea unei lungimi bune, acolo unde se interpun note de paine prajita pentru un finisaj de exceptie. Un vin care ramane la fel de bun si daca este consumat acum si in 2020 sau 2035, ce a primit cele mai inalte note de la degustori si merita incercat in compania retetelor pe baza de carne rosie sua a branzeturilor aromate.
